Matsuyama Castle

A fortress that has withstood war and time. What's Japan without its outstanding castle? Matsuyama Castle is famed as one of 12 original castle. In 1784, it was burned down when it was struck by lightning, but reconstructed in 1852. See the blooming 200 cherry trees on the castle grounds during spring season.
